The Rihannsu Imperial Starfleet is divided into several branches and provides the basic support and defense for the Star Empire.  These departments are controlled by High Command and are closely monitored by the Praetor himself.  While its main objective is to maintain Imperial Security, the Rihannsu Imperial Starfleet is also charged with seeking out new star systems and protectorates for the Empire.

In addition to the Rihannsu Imperial Starfleet, the Tal'Shiar also protects the Empire by targeting and diffusing possible threats to the Rihannsu.  While silence and stealth is preferred, the Tal'Shiar will often directly attack any and all targets it feels are hazardous to Rihannsu society.  The Tal'Shiar operates independently of and in conjunction with the Imperial Starfleet to maintain the loyalty and security of the Rihannsu.
